Savanna Kidney Aid Foundation (SKAF) is a non-profit organization registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), created to counsel on kidney health management and to support and promote kidney health.
SKAF was established in 2022 due to the rapid increase in kidney and kidney-related diseases in Jigawa State. This is partly because some communities have little or no education as to how to maintain kidney wellness and prevent these diseases. SKAF also focuses on relieving the financial strains of having or caring for a person with kidney disease.
Our organization is made up of a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, community leaders, and volunteers who work together to raise awareness about kidney disease and its risk factors, as well as to provide education about preventative measures and early detection. We also provide financial assistance for individuals who are unable to afford the cost of treatment.
We believe that early detection and proper treatment are key to managing kidney disease and improving the quality of life for those affected. That’s why we are committed to providing free kidney disease screenings, and we also collaborate with local hospitals and clinics to ensure that those in need have access to the best possible care.
Eliminate kidney diseases and increase the quality of life for patients and their caretakers.
Provide awareness about kidney diseases, and the well-being of kidneys to the general public and the medical community, how to support those with kidney diseases, and their families, increase their access to healthcare, and relieve their burdens.
These values guide us in providing access to necessary medical treatment for individuals affected by kidney disease.
